Career Assessments and Interest Inventories

MajorClarity Career Assessment

MajorClarity is a career assessment and planning tool designed to helps students choose the right major and career path by providing quick immersive test-drives for majors and career paths.

All students at Cary High School have an account and are able to take this assessment. See log in information below.

  1. UserName: WCPSS Student Email Address (imatitan@students.wcpss.net)

  2. Password: First 4 letters of your last name and Student ID/Lunch Number (smit1234567)

  3. You can also log in by clicking Continue with Google at the bottom. 

  4. Click here to open student instructions and Career Assessment worksheet

  5. Click here to be taken to MajorClarity

  6. Take the career assessment test.

After The Assessment
 

  1. Explore Career Clusters and complete the information worksheet that you downloaded(above) with instructions. 

  2. Complete this Interest Inventory Form.

  3. Contact Ms. Ward with any questions or to schedule a meeting.

CFNC

CFNC is a comprehensive college and career planning sight. You can use the site research and
apply to colleges.  It is also excellent sight to determine your interests, skills, and work values
and use them to find career options that are right for you.  Once you find a career that matches
your interest you can then explore/research those careers.

ASVAB

​

The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) was designed by the Department of Defense to assist students across our nation learn more about career exploration and planning. The ASVAB Career Exploration Program is a comprehensive career exploration and planning program that includes a multiple aptitude test battery, and interest inventory, and various career planning tools designed to help students explore the world of work.

1. Click here to sign up for the ASVAB at CHS(given in the spring and fall)

2. Take the test on the assigned day

3. Have your results interpreted

4. Start exploring careers
